Letter To Families and Friends 4.15.21
Dear Sinai Residents, Employees, Families, Friends, and Doctors;
I hope this letter finds you Healthy & Safe!
To ensure the safety of our residents and employees we are continuing Covid-19 testing of Residents & Employees as the facility currently remains in outbreak mode. In transparency the facility currently has no residents that have tested positive for Covid-19 in the facility and 1 Covid positive resident that was newly admitted to the Covid Recovery unit from the hospital. There is currently 3 employees that have tested positive for COVID-19. Unfortunately, we suffered with the total loss of 22 Residents to the Covid-19 virus. We ask that everyone remains vigilant with PPE & mask usage and we continuously encourage safe social distancing.
Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics at Sinai Post Acute:
- 12/30/2020 with Walgreens providing the Pfizer vaccine- second dose on 1/20/2021.
- 1/20/2021 with Walgreens providing the Pfizer Vaccine- second dose on 2/10/2021.
- 3/3/2021 with Newark Dept of Health providing the Moderna Vaccine – second dose on 1/20/2021.
- 4/8/2021 via our Pharmacy providing the Pfizer vaccine – second dose date will be 5/14/21
Our pharmacy provider., Pharmscript will now be providing vaccination clinics that will be made available for new admissions and residents / staff that have not yet received the vaccine. We continue to encourage all Residents, Employees and Families to get vaccinated at this time!
Any family that would like to arrange for a facetime phone call, outdoor visitation, essential caregiver visit, compassionate care visit or end of life visit can either contact the social services department or leave a voice mail at 973-483-6800×117. In order to keep all of our residents and employees safe we ask that all visitors entering the facility for any indoor visitation be tested for covid-19 using the rapid antigen testing before entering the facility – there will be no charge for this testing. ** Please Note – outdoor visits will be cancelled / rescheduled due to extreme weather conditions such as Rain or Temperatures below 45 degrees**.
