HONORING OUR LOCAL HEROES – AND THANKING THEM FOR ALL THEY DO!

New Jersey. September 20, 2016. In a meaningful expression of appreciation, Sinai Post-Acute, Nursing and Rehab Center, New Jersey’s a foremost provider of post-acute rehab care and skilled nursing services, held an Emergency Personnel Appreciation Celebration that brought the community together to honor these local heroes.

On August 23, Sinai’s Center’s expansive campus on Jay Street in Essex County, was a hub of activity. With great attendance of Police Officers, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Staff, Military Personnel, Family and Friends, the event honoring local heroes took place in a festive environment that gave the community at large an opportunity to show its great appreciation for all that they do.

“We know first hand the challenges of safeguarding human lives, and the kind of selflessness and dedication it takes “ indicates Lepty V. Balandra-Dwyer, RN BC, LNHA, Director of Nursing at Sinai Center, “so taking time out of our busy schedule to show appreciation for the dedication of these local heroes came quite natural”.
Amidst balloons, music, great food, and gifts, Oona’o Haynes, Director of Activities at Sinai Center, kept smiling as she welcomed the stream of guests that showed up, not wanting to miss this opportunity to say a personal “thank you” to the officers, who either in law enforcement, emergency response, or as firefighters have touched their lives or the life of someone close to them.

The massage chair and the massage therapist manning it certainly kept busy: relieving stress, promoting relaxation and giving the gift of wellness to emergency personnel in attendance – what better way to say thank you? Not to mention the cartoonist who created artistic sketches of the attendants, and artistic renditions of them in their respective police, firefighter, military and emergency responder uniforms that we all recognize and admire.

Specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, amputee care, stroke recovery, and wound care and launching a cardiac program in October, Sinai Post Acute, Nursing and Rehab Center is certainly making a difference in the community in more ways than one.

The Emergency Personnel Appreciation is only one of the many unique ways that Sinai Center demonstrates its unparalleled investment in the community, and heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in safeguarding human lives.
