Dear Sinai Residents, Employees, Families, Friends, and Doctors;

 

I hope this letter finds you Healthy & Safe!

Covid-19 testing of both Resident and Employees continue at this time.  In transparency the facility currently has 4 Residents in the facility that are positive for COVID-19, 168 residents pending weekly results and unfortunately, we suffered with the total loss of 20 Residents to the Covid-19 virus.  We are happy to announce that we have had 100 residents successfully recover from COVID-19. We will continue to track these numbers and inform you of the changes as they occur.  We ask that everyone is being vigilant with PPE & mask usage and we continuously encourage safe social distancing.

 

July 1, 2020 the facility began to open the resident dining/recreation rooms to small group activities and small group lunch that is closely monitored by staff and assure 6 ft social distancing.  Recreation & Nursing staff will work out a schedule to accommodate all residents being given an opportunity to allow them time in the recreation room. The Rehab Gym for Therapy services will open with a maximum of 4 residents being treated in the gym at a time.  Please note that Residents currently on the new / re-admit quarantine unit as well as those on the Covid unit or those currently ill will not be able to participate in group activities until they are cleared.

 

Sinai is excited to announce that the facility will begin scheduled & supervised outdoor visitation by appointment only beginning July 8th, 2020. Please note these visits will be scheduled Monday-Friday during the time period of 11:30am- 1:30pm. Visits will be limited to 15 minutes per visit at this time in order to accommodate as many scheduled visits as possible.  To Schedule an outdoor visit please contact the social worker or leave a voicemail at 973-483-6800×117 and someone will return your call to schedule a visit. Please see the website for visitation rules and regulations for visiting at this time.
