Letter To Families and Friends 3.30.21

       Dear Sinai Residents, Employees, Families, Friends, and Doctors;

 

I hope this letter finds you Healthy & Safe!

To ensure the safety of our residents and employees we are continuing Covid-19 testing of Residents weekly & Employees weekly as the facility currently remains in outbreak mode.  In transparency the facility currently has no residents that have tested positive for Covid-19 and 0 Covid positive residents that were newly admitted to the Covid Recovery unit.  There are currently 0 employees that have tested positive for COVID-19.  Unfortunately, we suffered with the total loss of 22 Residents to the Covid-19 virus.  We ask that everyone remains vigilant with PPE & mask usage and we continuously encourage safe social distancing.

 

*** The First Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic at Sinai Post Acute was on 12/30/2020 with  Walgreens providing the Pfizer vaccine to all residents and employees that gave consent and the second vaccination clinic date was on 1/20/2021.  Those that received their first dose on 1/20/2021 received their second dose on 2/10/2021.  The Local Department of Health provided the first dose of the Moderna Vaccine on 3/3/2021 and the second dose will be provided on 3/31/2021.  We will be announcing additional dates for vaccination clinics that will be made available for the Janssen Vaccine by early April.  We continue to encourage all Residents, Employees and Families to get vaccinated at this time!

 

Any family that would like to arrange for a facetime phone call, outdoor visitation, essential caregiver visit, compassionate care visit or end of life visit can either contact the social services department or leave a voice mail at 973-483-6800×117.   In order to keep all of our residents and employees safe we ask that all visitors entering the facility for any indoor visitation be tested for covid-19 using the rapid antigen testing before entering the facility – there will be no charge for this testing. ** Please Note – outdoor visits will be cancelled / rescheduled due to extreme weather conditions such as Rain or Temperatures below 45 degrees**.
