April 23 – Letter to Families

4/23/2020

Dear Sinai Residents, families, friends, and doctors;

Sinai Post Acute Nursing & Rehab has in the past few weeks provided a wing in order to isolate readmissions to the facility upon return from the hospital as per the recommendations of the Department of Health.  We currently have an entire floor dedicated to a Covid Recovery Unit to best accommodate all residents in the facility that require care during this time.  As our testing increases we will be moving residents as required temporarily onto the recovery unit and once medically cleared they will be able to return to one of the other units.  In transparency the facility currently has 33 Residents in the facility that tested positive, 12 pending results and unfortunately we suffered with the loss of 12 Residents to the Covid-19 virus.  We are excited as well to welcome back employees that have been out sick or caring for a sick family member during this time, their dedication and commitment to our residents is much appreciated.

Please note that all residents requiring Rehab Services are currently receiving therapy at their bedside, we are continuing to provide all residents with the care needed to ensure they reach their maximum psychosocial level of functioning.

We know how hard it is, especially during this pandemic to not be able to visit and see your loved ones. Any family that would like to arrange for a facetime phone call can either contact the social serves department of leave a voice mail at 973-483-6800×117.

As always, we thank you for your continued support and pray that everyone stays safe and well.

Sincerely,

Administration
