08/07/2020 Letter to Family and Friends

08/07/2020

Dear Sinai Residents, Employees, Families, Friends, and Doctors;

I hope this letter finds you Healthy & Safe!

Covid-19 testing of both Resident and Employees continue at this time.  In transparency the facility currently has 1 Resident that is positive for COVID-19 (tested at same day point of care testing at a pre-op doctors appointment), 55 residents pending weekly results and unfortunately, we suffered with the total loss of 20 Residents to the Covid-19 virus.  We are happy to announce that we have had over 100 residents successfully recover from COVID-19. Employee and Resident testing continues and we will continue weekly testing for now to remain vigilant as the world around us starts to reopen. We will continue to track these numbers and inform you of the changes as they occur.  We ask that everyone is being vigilant with PPE & mask usage and we continuously encourage safe social distancing.

**Please note the internet / wifi at the facility is down due to the recent storm but we have secured mifi hotspots that allow our nurses to continue to utilize their computers for continuity of care. We are in touch with Optimum and are hoping for full wifi access to be back at the facility shortly.  There has been no delay of services do to this outage, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for those using personal devices.
